Testimonials

My wife and I are both physicians who have re-located from Canada. Upon arriving in VT. we researched several schools in this area for our 4 year old daughter, without having success. One of our colleagues suggested that we contact The International Childrens School. We were so thankful for his help. We were looking for more than a play all day school. The children we met came and introduced themselves to us and welcomed us to their school. She was so happy in this environment . She would not stop talking about all the new things she has learned. She is now an excellent reader and knows a great deal about the human body and how it works and her math equations are what she called easy -pesy. My wife and I are very grateful and for ever Thankful to The Principal and her staff.

My 5 year old daughter has had such a steep learning curve in the last 18 months. When she started she barely knew her alphabets and now she can read small chapter books. She does complex addition and subtractions in Math with confidence. Kids are taught good manners and discipline in a loving manner. Compared to most other centers, it is very spacious and clean which helped her (and us) stay healthy. They do lot of activities-ice skating , apple picking and summer parties. I admire the dedication and commitment of the principal who is easily approachable and open to suggestions. I am very thankful and owe a great deal to the the school who contributed significantly to my daughter's early learning experience. I am a physician who believes in strong foundation for a successful future.

This is being written from a fellow teacher. Each time I visit I never cease to be amazed as to how much the school has grown academically and in resources. It started out as just a preschool, but today houses preschool through 2nd grade. Besides teaching regular academics, children get to 'visit' other countries through reading, writing, dance, music, and art. French and Spanish are also taught. Interesting projects accompany lessons such as making simple windmills for Holland, or the Eiffel Tower for France. There is also United Nations day, which is a big annual event, whereby at least fifteen countries are explored through festivity, and parents contribute international food and artifacts. The school also participates in Kid's Day held in Burlington, by creating a float for the parade. The school has a warm friendly atmosphere, and the founder is a dedicated woman devoted to enriching the lives of children.

My son has been in this school for last two and half years and we are very happy with the school. In my knowledge this is the only early education program in this area and the teachers and the principle do a wonderful job of teaching young children with dedication and love. The children learn different languages (English, French and Spanish), Math, music and theme along with time to play as well as story time. I have always found the children to be very happy and I know of parents who have sent all four of their children here. There is more discipline in the school compared to a public school, but it is implemented in a loving manner. The principle is very approachable and is always eager to implement good ideas. Overall, I am very pleased with the school and my son has always had a positive experience here.

This school has been the best experience for my son and for us as parents. My husband and I are from high level academics. We were looking for an educational environment for our son and he is so happy here. The Principal is very organized and a strong leader. She has a difficult task in carefully choosing the best person to teach in this type of learning school. Teachers today are not trained to teach spelling, Reading, writing, Math etc. to young children as young as age 3. You can see her devotion to the children at school. They have rules but as a parent I am so pleased to have my child in a safe, kind, and organized atmosphere. When we come to pick him up after a long day, We find ourselves running around the classroom in attempts to get him to come with us, and watched several other parents doing the same.
